The Copa Surf / Copita Surf Qualifier boys & girls champion teams from the top division in each age group U9-U18 will be granted automatic acceptance into the 2019 San Diego Surf Cup in San Diego, California.

COPA and COPITA SURF – San Diego Surf Cup Qualifier Rules

1. Teams that will qualify for the 2019 San Diego Surf Cup:
  •   U9 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U10 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U11 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U12 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U13 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U14 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U15 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U16 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U17 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division
  • U19 Boys and Girls – team that wins the Super Black (top) division

2. There will be up to 12 teams max accepted in the Super Black (top) division in each age group.

3. Super Black (top) division teams will be chosen by the Selection Committee who will take into account, team record, league standings, State Cup results and/or Gotsoccer® ranking.

4. We will host a U8 Division, but there will be no automatic U8 Qualification as Surf Cup does not host U9 division. We also will host a U19 Division, but teams will only be allowed to use four 2000 Born players as Surf Cup does not host a U20 division.

5. Any team not selected for the Super Black (top) division will be placed in the next lower division if applicable.

6. Any team that qualifies for the 2019 San Diego Surf Cup will be required to pay the Surf Cup entry fee.
